Setup / Starting Position
- Set an incline bench to a 45-degree angle and sit on it with your back against the bench and feet flat on the ground.
- Grasp a barbell with an overhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart, and allow it to hang directly in front of you.
Exercise Position
- Inhale and raise the barbell upwards until your arms are parallel to the ground, keeping a slight bend in your elbows.
- Exhale and slowly lower the barbell back down to the starting position with control.
Form & Performance
- Keep your back pressed against the bench and core engaged throughout the movement.
- Avoid arching your back or using momentum to lift the barbell.
