Setup / Starting Position
  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, toes pointing slightly outward.
  • Hold a barbell with a wide overhand grip (palms facing up), hands positioned slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, and the barbell resting on your upper back.
Exercise Position
  • Press the barbell overhead with straight arms, locking it out overhead.
  • Position your feet in a split stance, with one foot slightly forward and the other foot slightly back.
Form & Performance
  • Lower your body into a split squat position, bending your front knee and dropping your back knee towards the floor.
  • Keep your torso upright and core engaged throughout the movement.
