Setup / Starting Position
  • Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart, holding a barbell in front of your thighs with an overhand grip (palms facing down), hands shoulder-width apart.
  • Shift your weight onto one leg, keeping a slight bend in the knee of the supporting leg.
Exercise Position
  • Hinge at your hips and lower the barbell towards the floor, extending your free leg behind you for balance.
  • Keep your back straight and chest lifted throughout the movement.
Form & Performance
  • Return to the starting position by squeezing your glutes and extending your hips, bringing the barbell back up to the starting position.
  • Keep your core engaged and maintain a neutral spine throughout the exercise.
